About Maximum Pest Control

For more than 30 years, Maximum Pest Control has protected homes and businesses across Cape Coral and Lee County from the pests that come with living in Southwest Florida — ants, roaches, rodents, and the region's biggest structural threat, termites. We're a family-owned company, we've served thousands of local clients, and we still answer the phone the same way we did when we started: with a real inspection, a plan built for your property, and a guarantee that means something.

Our story

Maximum Pest Control was founded in Lee County by David Markovits, who still owns and runs the company today. David built his reputation the slow way — one job at a time, in a region where the pest pressure is genuinely different from almost anywhere else in the country. Cape Coral's canal system, sandy soil, and year-round humidity create conditions that let subterranean termites and moisture-loving pests thrive in every season, not just summer. Over three decades, David learned how local construction, landscaping, and waterways affect pest behavior here, and he built the company around that specific, local knowledge rather than a one-size-fits-all national playbook.

Maximum Pest Control is still family-owned. That matters in a practical way: the person who answers your call is accountable to the same reputation David has spent 30 years building in this community, not to a corporate quota in another state.

What we believe

We believe pest control shouldn't force a trade-off between protecting your property and protecting your family, pets, or the environment. That belief shapes every treatment plan we write:

  1. Eco-friendly, EPA-approved products. We use treatments that are tough on pests and safe for people, pets, and plants when applied as directed — not vague "green" marketing, but products backed by EPA approval.
  2. Integrated pest management (IPM), not blanket spraying. We inspect first, identify the specific pest and entry points, then apply the least invasive effective treatment, rather than spraying everything on a schedule regardless of what's actually there.
  3. Customized plans, not templates. Your home's construction, landscaping, and location (canal-front, inland, near a preserve) all change what pests are likely and how we treat for them. A stilt home on Pine Island and a slab home in Cape Coral don't get the same plan.

How we work

  1. Free inspection. We walk the property, identify the pest and the conditions causing it, and explain what we find in plain language.
  2. Customized treatment plan. Built around your property, your family or business, and the specific pest pressure.
  3. Treatment. Using EPA-approved, IPM-first methods designed to be effective without unnecessary chemical use.
  4. Ongoing monitoring. For termites and recurring pests, we don't treat once and disappear — we monitor and adjust.
  5. Our guarantee. If pests return between scheduled treatments, so do we, at no extra charge.

Who we protect

We serve homeowners and businesses throughout Cape Coral and greater Lee County, including the barrier islands and waterfront communities where pest pressure looks different from inland properties — Pine Island, Matlacha, Sanibel, Captiva, and the surrounding Gulf communities. See our full service area for the complete list of communities we cover.

Whether you're dealing with ants and roaches in a Cape Coral home, termites threatening a canal-front foundation, or you need commercial pest control that keeps a business audit-ready, the approach is the same: inspect, customize, treat, guarantee.
